A new letter from David Harris for
the 2008 Marching Band Season:

Brass and Woodwind marching band members:
It is time to get ready for another exciting year of
marching band for the fall of 2008. Our show will be Pandora’s Box which is
written by Key Poulan and has been preformed by many superior bands across the
nation. According to Freek mythology, Pandora was given a box by Zeus and told
not to open it. However, Pandora opened the box because she was curious. This
caused all the evils of mankind to escape from the box. Luckily, Pandora closed
the box in time to keep hope. The music will deal with the feelings of
curiosity, anger for opening the box, and finally of hope. I am excited to

The woodwind specialist is Mr. Kevin van Sickle. He
is a saxophonist who performs throughout the state in different groups. He is
also known to many of you as he has been the B & B Music salesman serving

graduate student in music at the
All woodwind and brass marching band members are
expected to attend all rehearsals! As always, a written note from your parent
is needed to be excused from rehearsal. I look forward to seeing everyone at
these very important rehearsals. This will help us to grow and improve on the
great band that we had last year!
