Lake Forest Competition and Football Game |
| Hello Band, Next Saturday is a very busy day for the band. Here is the schedule as I know it. Help is needed. 1) Report time - I forgot to ask Mr. Endlein but I would expect report time is around 8 AM. 2) Travel to Concord for the football game. Kids should bring snack/lunch or buy something at the game. 3) Return to MHS - probably around 2 pm. 4) Practice - Mr.Endlein will hold a light drill practice to prepare for the competition. 5) Dinner - we need to feed the kids and staff before departing for the competition. See request details below. 6) Depart for competition ( I imagine by 4 pm). 7) Return back to MHS (I imagine around 11 pm) Dinner request - we need to give the kids a good dinner to prepare them for the competition. I think soups, fruit, and bread would be good. We will sere dinner at the high school before they depart. I would think chili, potato soup, beef/vegetable soup, stew, corn chowders or something similar would be good. We will need to serve around 70. Please think about your favorite homemade soup and let George know what you can bring. He will post it on our spreadsheets. Competition tickets - we have tickets for the competition. Please purchase in advance so that MHS Band Boosters get the credit. You can send the money into Mr. Endlein or find me. GO BAND! Kevin Gillie |

Great job at Pre-Camp this week everyone. Students...you did a great job adjusting to a new situation, new director, and new pace. Well done! Parents, whenever something needed to be done, it was handled before I even thought of it. Thanks for all you do behind the scenes. Cavaliers...Be sure to look over all your music, warmups, and drill for next week. The more you do to prepare the easier things will be! Above all, take some time this weekend to unwind and enjoy yourselves. You've earned it! BE GREAT! |
